Welcome Back Information 8.5.20

Welcome back to the 2020-2021 school year!  We are so excited to welcome your child back on Aug 17 - whether that is on campus or virtually - and we have some information to share with everyone for the start of school. 

Meet the Teacher

Teachers with students attending Face-to-Face or Seminole Connect classes will be reaching out to you this week to introduce themselves and share Meet the Teacher information.  Students entering VPK, Kindergarten, and students new to the school will have the opportunity to schedule a face-to-face meeting with their new teacher.  Returning students in grades 1-5 will have a virtual meet the teacher on Tuesday, August 11.  Each teacher is offering 3 sessions - 11AM, 5PM, and 5:30PM.  Details and teacher-specific links will be provided by your child's individual teacher.

Morning Drop-Off

Students will be welcomed on campus at 7:30am this year.  Please do not drop your child off before this time unless they are eating breakfast (breakfast opens at 7:20am).  

Afternoon Pick-Up

Car line - We have NEW car line times for the afternoon.  In an effort to keep our students as safe as possible, we are going to ask that families adhere to the times below.  Cars in line before their designated time will be required to circle around.  

K (and older siblings) - 2:05PM

1st and 2nd grade (and older siblings) - 2:15PM

3rd, 4th, and 5th grade - 2:30PM

Students who walk or ride their bike home will be dismissed at 2:10PM to head home.

Face-to-Face Supplies and other considerations

The supply list for face-to-face instruction is linked here and on our website.  We are asking that families send a water bottle for use in the classroom as well as extra masks in case your child's mask needs to be changed during the day.  Red Bug is providing a lanyard to clasp on the mask ear loop to help keep it with your child during non-mask times (eating and exercising).  If you would like to provide your child with one of their own, that is also an option.  

Seminole Connect Materials

Students that are participating in Seminole Connect will have an opportunity to pick up materials (textbook pages, manipulatives, other class materials) from the school next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday on the following schedule.

Wednesday - 8AM-10AM

Thursday -  3PM-5PM

Friday - 11AM-1PM

These will be distributed via the bus loop.  You will pull up in front of the school and a team member will bring out your child's materials out to the car.  

Laptop Checkout for Remote Students

Students who are attending our schools via Seminole Connect or Seminole County Virtual School may request a device for check out if the family does not have one for that child.  We will have a limited number of devices for distribution.  Please use this form to request a laptop for your student(s).
